Edgar Miller Legacy is pleased to invite you to a memorable evening of great food, drinks, and friends at the Standard Club of Chicago, home to Edgar Miller’s stunning mid-century modern-style murals depicting the Great Chicago Fire and other embedded design-work.
This year, Edgar Miller Legacy is excited to announce that we will be joined by special guest speaker, Geoffrey Baer, of Geoffrey Baer Tours on WTTW Chicago. Geoffrey is a seven-time Emmy-winning Public Television writer, producer and program host. He has been a fixture on Chicago’s PBS station WTTW for 30 years, and has been a docent for the Chicago Architecture Center since 1987.
The evening will also include special small-group tours of the Standard Club’s Cocktail Lounge to view Miller’s glass-work and hand-carved murals; and the opportunity to purchase limited edition prints by photographer Alexander Vertikoff of the Miller-designed interiors. Heavy hors d’oeuvres and an open bar, including a handcrafted “Great Chicago Fire” specialty cocktail, are also included in the evening.
